God Embedded the Trinity in His Own Name. Here's the Proof.

The Name God Declared to Moses

The relevant verse is Exodus 3:14:

KJV: And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.NIV: God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

If you just take the name of God we have the following versions:

"I AM THAT I AM" or "I AM WHO I AM"

"AM" (the verb "to be") represents the concept of being / existence and is symbolic of God the Father."I" represents the concept of consciousness (one cannot use the word I without being conscious) and is symbolic of Jesus Christ, God the Son, the Word, Logos, Wisdom."I AM that (who) I AM " is a reflection – God is stating His name twice. I AM is God. So His name reduces to "God is God," which is a divine version of the identity axiom in logic which states that A is A. The identity axiom is the foundation for truth in logic. "God is God" is symbolic of the Spirit of Truth or the Holy Spirit.

When God declared His name to Moses in the Old Testament, he was in fact declaring himself as the Holy Trinity, the Triune God.

These symbols represent each Person — they do not define them. The Father and the Spirit are fully conscious persons, and all three Persons share in being and identity. The symbols highlight a distinctive emphasis, not an exclusive attribute.Note the relationship between each of the word or concept symbols. You cannot have consciousness without being or existing. Therefore being or existence is the "Father" of consciousness, which is the "Son." Similarly, if something exists, it is something specific, it has an identity. But there is no identity without there first being something. Therefore, identity "proceeds" from being. So, the relationships among the word or concept symbols matches the relationships in the Nicene Creed. We have the three Persons of the Holy Trinity represented by three word or concept symbols that share the same relationships. We have the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit or Spirit of Truth.

The Implications

So, when God gave His name to Moses He emphatically stated His triune nature. That's the proposal. But here's the question: if this is true, what does it actually change?For most Christians, the Holy Spirit is the most mysterious and least understood Person of the Trinity. Yet it is the Holy Spirit who guides us into all truth. Lessons Learned from the Name of God

Both the Identity Axiom and the Holy Spirit are Extremely Important – And Often Overlooked

Jesus left us the Advocate, the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit of Truth that leads us into the rest of the truth.

John 15:26 NIV: "When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father — the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father — he will testify about me."John 16:7 NIV: "But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you."John 16:13-15 NIV: "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you."Ephesians 2:18 NIV: "For through him (Jesus) we both have access to the Father by one Spirit."

Many Christians who focus on the Holy Spirit emphasize gifts like speaking in tongues. Those have their place. But what I want to highlight is something even more fundamental: the Spirit of Truth guides us into all truth. All Christians know the importance of Jesus Christ to our faith. But I think many Christians do not understand the importance of the Spirit of Truth, or the Holy Spirit. He is so important Jesus says it is to our advantage for Jesus to go away so the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, will come to us. Obviously, it is critical for us to be led by the Spirit of Truth.The identity axiom is not the Spirit of Truth. But if I am correct and the divine version of the identity axiom is symbolic of the Spirit of Truth or Holy Spirit, then we had better pay attention to it. When I first saw the identity axiom, "A is A," I thought, "That seems trivial." And then I asked, "Why is that important?" Well, as I thought about it, I suddenly realized, it IS the foundation for truth. As I will explain in great detail in my upcoming book, many, if not most, of our issues as a nation are related to violations of this axiom. I think some violations of the identity axiom may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

Mark 3:28-29 NIV: "Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin." (also Matthew 12:31-32 and Luke 12:10)

Jesus said this right after the Pharisees attributed his exorcisms to Beelzebul – calling the Holy Spirit's work demonic. Compare the above verse with the following.

Isaiah 5:20 NIV: "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."

When you call good, good, that is saying A is A. When you call good, evil, that is saying A is B. You are violating the identity axiom. That is what the Pharisees did to elicit Jesus's response in Mark 3:28-29. One of the reasons I thought it important to share my insight regarding the name God declared to Moses is that it makes it really hard to disregard or forget the identity axiom. The identity axiom is one of those things that is so simple it is easy to think it is trivial, just as I did when I first saw it. Well, we must not do that. All three Persons of the Holy Trinity are important. If the name of God is a declaration of God's triune nature, that helps puts all three Persons on a more equal footing.

We Are Made in the Image of God

Genesis 1:27 NIV: So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

God is a person that has being, consciousness, and identity. Each of us also are persons that have being, consciousness, and identity. Humans are unique in having a very high level of consciousness including language and the ability to understand abstract concepts and create things, including complex technologies. So, simple observation establishes that we are made in the image of God. This of course is supported by biblical scriptures which state we are made in the image of God. Since God is spirit, we are spiritual beings. Since God creates, we create. The image is real, even if finite.

An Example of Why Violations of the Identity Axiom are an Attack on the Spirit of Truth and Work for Satan

George Orwell wrote the book 1984. At the end of the book the hero Winston is being tortured. (pp. 327-328. HarperCollins. Kindle Edition.):

“Do you remember,” he went on, “writing in your diary, ‘Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four?”“Yes,” said Winston.O’Brien held up his left hand, its back toward Winston, with the thumb hidden and the four fingers extended.“How many fingers am I holding up, Winston?”“Four.”“And if the Party says that it is not four but five—then how many?”“Four.”The word ended in a gasp of pain. The needle of the dial had shot up to fifty-five. The sweat had sprung out all over Winston’s body. The air tore into his lungs and issued again in deep groans which even by clenching his teeth he could not stop. O’Brien watched him, the four fingers still extended. He drew back the lever. This time the pain was only slightly eased.“How many fingers, Winston?”“Four.” The needle went up to sixty.“How many fingers, Winston?”“Four! Four! What else can I say? Four!”The needle must have risen again, but he did not look at it. The heavy, stern face and the four fingers filled his vision. The fingers stood up before his eyes like pillars, enormous, blurry, and seeming to vibrate, but unmistakably four.“How many fingers, Winston?”“Four! Stop it, stop it! How can you go on? Four! Four!”“How many fingers, Winston?”“Five! Five! Five!”“No, Winston, that is no use. You are lying. You still think there are four. How many fingers, please?”“Four! Five! Four! Anything you like. Only stop it, stop the pain!”Abruptly he was sitting up with O’Brien’s arm round his shoulders. He had perhaps lost consciousness for a few seconds. The bonds that had held his body down were loosened. He felt very cold, he was shaking uncontrollably, his teeth were chattering, the tears were rolling down his cheeks. For a moment he clung to O’Brien like a baby, curiously comforted by the heavy arm round his shoulders. He had the feeling that O’Brien was his protector, that the pain was something that came from outside, from some other source, and that it was O’Brien who would save him from it.

Obviously, a disturbing scene. But you must understand, what O’Brien is doing is attacking the identity axiom and the Spirit of Truth. He knows that if he can get Winston to actually see and believe there are 5 fingers when he is only holding up four, that he will have complete control of Winston’s mind. And that is what he wants.That is what the satanic forces want for us. They want us to become docile and be able to tell us whatever they wish and have us believe it without question. And we are being tortured. It is much more subtle and does not involve inducing intense pain. But if you pay attention, you will see that people that dispute various narratives get punished for doing so. For instance, people lost jobs for refusing an experimental vaccine during COVID-19, in direct violation of the Nuremberg Code — which the United States signed.

When Your Eye Is Single

This is a case in which I believe the KJV of the Bible provides the best translation. Here are the complete verses:

Matthew 6:22 KJV: The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.Luke 11:34 KJV: The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

The "eye" is not one of your two eyes, it is your mind. Likewise, the body is not your body, it represents your soul, your inner man.The truth is all one. Everything that is true must be consistent with everything else that is true. One could also say that the truth is singular. So, we can paraphrase: "The light of the soul is the mind: therefore when your mind is single, free from false beliefs, your whole soul, your inner man or heart, will be full of light." Our false beliefs divide our mind against itself, and fill it with darkness and evil. If we remove the false beliefs, our mind is not divided against itself, it is single, and is full of light and good.For a man to improve his integrity, he must reject and sacrifice his false beliefs. The end goal is to remove them all, and to have a mind that is single. How do we accomplish this? Every false belief violates the identity axiom and states in one way or another that A is B. With the aid and grace of the Spirit of Truth we must discern that A is not B, and by doing so reject each false belief. This requires that seeking the truth be our absolute highest priority, and that we be humble and willing to consider the possibility that a belief we hold is false. As we reject more and more false beliefs, our minds become less divided, and we become more holy. It is the Spirit of Truth that leads us into all the truth, and eventually to Christ. This is why the Spirit of Truth is also called the Holy Spirit.

This Makes an Even Stronger Case for the Holy Trinity and Christianity

The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is central to objections to Christianity posed by both Jews and Muslims. But if what I have proposed is accepted, the name God declared to Moses is an emphatic statement of His triune nature. One real advantage of seeing the name of God as declaring the Holy Trinity is that God's triune nature does not depend in any way on the New Testament scriptures, such as Jesus's statement, "before Abraham was, I AM." Also, we are made in God's image, and each human being is one, yet simultaneously has being, consciousness, and identity. Likewise, God is one, yet simultaneously is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Biblical names are important, and this makes it harder for both Jews and Muslims to reject the doctrine of the Holy Trinity.Likewise, there are many other churches that reject the Holy Trinity such as: Mormons (LDS), Jehovah's Witnesses, Oneness Pentecostals (UPCI), Iglesia ni Cristo, True Jesus Church, Unification Church, Seventh-day Adventists (anti-Trinitarian minority), Unitarian Universalists, United Church of God / Living Church of God, and Christian Science. This argument gives us common ground. The name God gave Moses belongs to Jews, Muslims, and Christians alike. If the Trinity is in that name, the conversation changes.

A Quick Note Regarding John 8:58

"'Very truly I tell you,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I Am!'"? God the Father is more or less the "strong silent type." He does talk a few times. But Jesus is His spokesperson and does most of the talking. Also consider John 10:30: "I and the Father are one." and John 5:19: "Jesus gave them this answer: 'Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can only do what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.'" So, for these reasons I believe when Jesus states "…before Abraham was born, I AM!" that He was speaking on behalf of both Himself and the Father. Also, when God declared his name to Moses He could have simply said "I AM" and not bothered with the reflection. I think the reason for the reflection was to symbolize the Spirit of Truth. But if "I AM" only represents Jesus, then you end up with Jesus and the Spirit of Truth as represented in the name, but are still short God the Father.

In Conclusion
